[ET Net News Agency, 11 June 2020] Nomura lowered its target price for China Overseas
Land & Investment (COLI)(00688) to HK$31.85 from HK$34.2 and maintained its "buy" rating.
The research house appreciates COLI's defensive positioning on the back of its ample and
high-quality landbank (land bank life 4.5 years; 72% of land bank is in tier 1 and core
districts of tier 2 cities).
Nomura expects its contracted sales to register a 12% CAGR in 2020-21, outperforming the
average of 7% CAGR for the top 10 companies in the sector. The stock has under-performed
its peers since 2016 on account of weak growth (EPS CAGR of +8% over 2016-19). Nomura
expects the acceleration of EPS growth to drive a re-rating. (KL)
