[ET Net News Agency, 9 January 2020] DBS Group Research initiated coverage on China
Galaxy Securities (CGS)(06881) with a "buy" rating and a target price of HK$6.6.
The research house sees CGS as a wild card and high-beta play, given its high revenue
concentration in brokerage commission, margin finance and proprietary trading business,
which collectively accounted for 75% and 79% of its total revenue in 2018 and 1H 2019
respectively, the highest among peers.
With its high retail investor focus, DBS sees CGS as a beneficiary of China's capital
market liberalisation and possible market rally. It believes CGS has gained substantial
market share in brokerage trading amid year-to-date China A-share rally. (KL)
