Tomson (00258) sees 75% decrease in interim profit after tax

[ET Net News Agency, 9 August 2019] Tomson Group Limited (00258) said the group is
expected to record a substantial decrease of approximately 75% in its consolidated profit
after taxation attributable to the shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2019 as
compared with that of HK$227 million for the corresponding period in 2018.
The company said unlike the case in the corresponding period in 2018 when a significant
amount of an unrealized gain on fair value changes of investment properties of the group
arose from market valuation pursuant to accounting standards, the amount of such gain was
substantially reduced for the period under review, hence a decrease in the results of the
group is expected. (RC)
