[ET Net News Agency, 7 April 2020] Citi Research cited its gaming industry sources
indicating that Macau's GGR (gross gaming revenue) for the first five days of April could
have reached MOP500m. The implied daily run rate was MOP100m, which was weaker versus that
of March (at MOP170m/day).
The research house said the lower GGR should come as no surprise as the Mainland Chinese
government has yet to lift the outbound travel bans and the new quarantine rules have
become effective since late March.
Citi maintained its April GGR forecast at MOP1.5bn (-94%) for now. (KL)
