[ET Net News Agency, 12 February 2020] UBS Global Research lifted its target price for
Country Garden Services (CGS)(06098) to HK$33.8 from HK$31.4 and upgraded its rating to
"buy" from "neutral", based on strong 28%/24% 2019-21 contracted GFA/EPS CAGRs and its
competitive edge in lower-tier cities.
The research house thinks CGS parent's strong GFA growth is known by the market, UBS
concentrated on CGS's ability to win third-party contracts. Based on a UBS's survey, the
third-party market remains fragmented, more so in lower-tier cities. Also, the segment is
less competitive as managers mainly focus on tier 1-2 cities (eg, Greentown, Vanke and
Savills).
UBS believes CGS has an advantage in winning third-party contracts in lower-tier cities
due to a cost advantage and brand recognition. (KL)
